I must admit I have never been a huge Toto Fan, but this disc may have won me over. It is a real treat seeing these older guys rock out. The songs are long versions spiced with very well-played solos. On this disc the band seems to have more of an edge than they originally had. The instrumental playing is first rate. The disc provides over two hours of high quality music.

The concert contains the hits: “Africa”, Rosanna”, “Hold the Line” and “I’ll Supply the Love” and 17 other Toto songs. The band consists of: Steve Lukather (guitar and vocals), Simon Philips (drums), Bobby Kimball (vocals), Greg Phillinganes (keyboard and vocals), and Tony Spinner (guitar and vocals). The band is joined by bassist Lee Sklar (bassist for Phil Collins and James Taylor). The video aspects of the disc are two parts. On close ups and well-lit front scenes, the video is first rate. On the more distant shots, the strong changing lighting creates some washout and halo effects. The audio is the best aspect of the disc. It is one of the best sounding live concert discs I have heard. This is in spite of stage monitor and instrument speakers on the stage. The bass has punch, the instruments and voices are well defined and lyrics can be easily understood. It even has some nice high frequency information, which is usually devoid in a rock concert. The disc conveys the power and feeling of a live concert. I think that most Toto fans will be very pleased with this disc. Rock lovers may gain new respect, as I did, for the band.

TrackList: Falling in Between, King of the World, Pamela, Bottom of Your Soul, Caught in the Balance, Don’t Chain My Heart, Hold the Line, Stop Loving You, I’ll Be Over You, Cruel, Greg Solo, Rosanna, I’ll Supply the Love, Isolation, Gift of Faith, Kingdom of Desire, Hydra, Taint Your World, Gypsy Train, Africa, and Drag Him to the Roof.
