Independent Filmmakers – Multimedia software developer CyberLink of Taiwan will promote independent filmmakers with its editing software tools in partnership with John Schneider Studios. It has donated an editing workstation with their Director Suite, including powerful video-editing software, ColorDirector color-trading module, AudioDirector sound-enhancement module and PhotoDirector photography software. Schneider is best-known as the star of the Dukes of Hazzard TV series of the ‘80s and his new movie studio is dedicated to independent filmmakers working with limited budgets.

The Internet of Things = Big Brands – The smart home is poised to become the next Big Market, whose revenues (according to research) are expected to reach $71 billion by 2018, will be defined by big brands. There are a lot of small companies approaching the market, but that’s hard due to the enormous costs of manufacturing and managing the supply chain. Best Connection From Computer to DAC – Asynchronous USB or S/PDIF are considered best. Optical (Toslink) can have liited bandwidth and HDMI can possibly introduce jitter.
