LG Partners With B&O to Offer Hi-Quality Audio to G5 Smartphone Purchasers – The B&O Play subsidiary of the Danish company Bang & Olufsen will offer high-quality audio to G5 owners, but details have not been revealed. The new Android phone has a 5.6-inch display and QHD resolution; it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC. The phone will apparently have two cameras: one has 16 megapixel rear-facing sensor and another an 8 megapixel foward-facing snapper.  The chassis is metallic with a fingerprint scanner built in, and their will be a microSD card for further expansion.

Corsair VOID Brings Surround to Gaming Audio on Top Platforms – The Corsair VOID Surround offers universal campatibility for PCs, PlayStation4 and Xbox One. It has 7.1 channels of immersive surround and has oversized 50mm neodymium drivers to bring the action of life with brilliant range and precision. Its 2.4GHz wireless system has an up to 40 ft. range and can provide up to 16 hours of uninterrupted gaming with microfiber/memory foam earpads. It also has a noise-canceling mic to put your voice in the spotlight.

Epson Moverio Smart Glasses Use OLED Technology – The Moverio BT-300 headset has a form of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) which allows the black parts of displays to appear more transparent to the user. Thus digital and physical objects may be mixed and work better with the new headset. Early users say they are clearer than the previous model but there is a gray box floating over the world where the displays are.

Its Own Streaming Video Service Could Help Apple – Threatening to compete with HBO, Netflix, Amazon and Hulu may seem to be a bad move for Apple, but with iPhone sales potentially plateauing, Apple has to find new areas to show revenue growth. There’s nothing more financially comforting for a company than a monthly billing situation. The simplest approach would be for Apple to create a service that’s something like HBO. It would be a big conceptual leap for Apple, but they have been a major player in the entertainment industry for years now, and they have huge profits each quarter. It’s almost inevitable they will enter the subscription video market eventually.

Does Google’s $35 Chromecast Audio Still Deliver? – The little gizmo that plugs into existing speakers and makes them “smart” certainly does. It can create the simplicity of being able to move one’s music to wherever they happen to be in the house. A major update since they first came out is multiroom support. Now it can send music to multiple speakers and stereos at the same time – just like the expensive Sonos system. The Google menu can access an app like Google’s Play Music or a third-party one like Pandora. All you do is tap the icon to see your newly-created group along with all the speaker destinations. The Chromecast Audio unit is also bigger than ever, with two more devices added into the system.
