* BRUCKNER: Symphony No. 9 in D minor – London Sym. Orch./ Bernard Haitink – LSO Live
************* MULTICHANNEL DISC OF THE MONTH ************
A ‘reference’ recording and performance of Bruckner’s unfinished 9th.
BIZET: Symphony in C; Jeux D’Enfants; Variations chromatiques – San Francisco Ballet Orch./ Martin West – Reference Recordings
Three most enjoyable Bizet works; two of them quite unique.
MAHLER: Complete Symphonies 1 – 10; etc. – Royal Concertgebouw Orch. (various conductors), Blu-ray (2013, 11 discs)
This is a quite amazing collection of all the Mahler symphonies, including Deryck Cooke’s revision of No. 10.
ANTON BRUCKNER: Symphony No. 4, “Romantic” – London Sym. Orch./ Bernard Haitink – LSO Live
Haven’t heard all the huge selection of Bruckner Fourth SACDs, but prefer this one of those I have.
