A lavish 20-CD boxed set from EMI, entirely of complete works by American composers, will be awarded to three AUDIOPHILE AUDITION readers in this month’s drawing/giveaway. It is titled Imaginary Landscapes – Sounds of America, and includes such gems as Bernstein’s music from Candide and West Side Story, Barber’s Adagio for Strings, John Adams’ The Chairman Dances, and Copland’s Appalachian Spring, featuring topflight performances.
