No resemblance at all to Debussy’s cathedral – sunken or not.

CORRINGHAM: Walking – Innova
Not really music; an unusual audio exploration of environments and stories.

“Three-Mountain Pass” – Van-Ank Vanessa Vo, dan tranh/ Kronos Quartet – Innova
Traveling through the mind’s ear.

Chris Campbell / Grant Cutler – Schooldays Over – Innova (45 rpm vinyl)
A 45 rpm 12″ effort, but not necessarily appealing to all audiophiles with good turntables.

Interesting and sometimes very moving music, but far too limited for a debut album.

“Colliding Objects: Music by DAVID KECHLEY” = Dancing; Design and Construction; Untimely Passages; Available Light; Colliding Objects – Innova
Colorful, engaging. David Kechley’s music may not give you a lot to cogitate on, but it is certainly ear-tickling.

Edgy, as expected of Innova releases, but in a chamber music confine, with deep lyricism.

‘The Eleanor Hovda Collection’ = ELEANOR HOVDA: Ariadne Music; Coastal Traces; Sound Around the Sound; Excavations – var. performers – Innova (4 CDs)
A dense organic blend that sounds like New Age meets Stockhausen.

ANNE LEBARON: 1, 2, 4, 3 – Ensemble/ Anne LeBaron, harp etc. – Innova (2 CDs)
There’s a distinct possibility that LeBaron’s improvisations are so abstract, so spontaneous and so solipsistic that they are not music in any traditional sense.

Be patient and the listening is hypnotically compelling!
