SIBELIUS: Violin Concerto in D; BARBER: Violin Concerto; PAUL BEN-HAIM: Three Songs Without Words – Zina Schiff, violin/ MAV Sym. Orch./ Avlana Eisenberg – MSR Classics
A very good recording of Schiff’s art, noticeable with especial radiance in the Barber.

MENDELSSOHN: Lieder ohne Worte Books 1-4, and Five Individual Lieder ohne Worte – Ronald Brautigam, fortepiano – BIS
This wonderful music should really be heard on an instrument of the period; I doubt that you’ll find a better interpretation on pianoforte than Ronald Brautigam’s.
