DualDisc ***1/2 (music) Zero Stars for yet another format to confuse
consumers:
This is another dreaded DualDisc. For those into the format, you
can read a full review of the music in my earlier review of the DVDA
disc. Right Here.
This is a disc with the same DVDA material on the backside, and stereo
PCM versions on the front. In addition, I notice that the label
indicates the Dolby headphone symbol. The disc does offer Dolby
Digital playback, so I imagine that every disc like that would be
compatible with Dolby Headphone playback, no? As mentioned in the
original review, there is a live performance video of “Back Door Slam”
as an extra. Anyone who thinks that are getting a DVD on the
second side of these discs—be warned! I liked this disc enough to
keep it the first time, so musically I recommend it. Songs
included are: Survivor; Up In The Sky; Back Door slam; I Didn’t
Know; Your Pal; Lotta Lovin’; What You Need (Good Man); Spare Some
Love?; Distant Shore; Time Makes Two.
