(Steve Alee, piano; Bill Moring, bass; Tim Horner, drums)
Fresh and swinging piano trio interpretations on eight originals by Allee and two standards. His tonal tapestry is a musical picture of his world travels – the colors, sights, sounds and smells. The title track has a Latin tinge and refers to Brazil while Rucaya was inspired by the turquoise waters of Grand Bahama Island. This is Steve’s fifth CD, and he has played with such jazz lights as Slide Hampton, James Moody, Phil Woods, Milt Hinton, Ed Thigpen, and Dianne Schuur. His rhythm section has played with some names as Mulgrew Miller and Marian Schneider, so this is obviously a piano trio of major repute. Enjoy!
