We have reviewed both innovative albums, and they represent two of the most successful historic blends of jazz and classical – performed and recorded to contemporary sonic standards. While the original Miiles Davis/Gil Evans collaboration recording is a classic, the new Harmonie Ensemble New York version is even better fidelity – you’ll hear details you may have missed before.
